Boy how time flies. Aviel will be one in less than a month. Tuesday he decided that he wanted to slide by himself (no sisy helping) and away he went. My wife was there with the camers and took the most perfect series of Aviel action pictures I could hope for.

God has blessed my life beyond belief.

I've made it one year without a drink. I know now what I never seemed to realize all those years I was drinking. The freedom I feel is amazing.

It seems my daughter had gotten into a little trouble today. My wife decided to send her to her room to think about it for a while. She left this note in the hallway fro her mom. On the left from bottom to top and across, "Adira's Heart is Broken."

So sweet yet somehow I find it amusing.

I've also seen worse.

This photoblog has pictures of nature and buildings, animals and people and just about everything in between. It was voted the 8th best blog in 1984. As I look through the pictures I somehow get the feeling either this guy is not a proffesional photographer or he is very young in his photograpy. I think that's part of the charm of the site.

Feral, in the sense of becoming wild after years of taming.

Areas of the California desert can be taken over by vast carpets of wild flowers. Apparently, conditions have to be just right for the explosive growth documented in these pictures. Some are absolutely beautiful.

One of the best things about living in rural northern Illinois is the ability to view entire weather systems as they pass through. With nothing but sky from horizon to horizon, it's hard for a thunderstorm to sneak up on you.

OK, here goes

I work too much, I help to run 3 businesses.
I love to camp and my favorite place to camp is here.
I love to cook.
All my family loves for me to cook.
I have built over 500 homes with my own two hands (with the help of a crew).
My wife is taller than me (quite a bit :).
I have a 4 year old daughter and a baby due in Febuary.
Im 40 years old (41 in November).
I sometimes feel I love my daughter too much and fear that God will take her from me because of it.
I can talk to anyone, anyplace, anytime yet prefer to be alone.
I was given a scholarship in music but did not take it.
I have a very hard time sitting down and relaxing.
Im good at training animals and have never been taught to do it.
I have an older sister and a younger brother.
I listen to Chopin and The Cure.
My dog is not a dog, she's a member of the family.
I love Haribo gold-bears.
I love to grow vegetables but do not do so for lack of time.
